Hairdressers with an interest in trichology were given a rare treat on 16th April as Trichology Scotland’s Margaret Simpson and Wil Fleeson shared their own real-life experiences – transitioning from hairdressers to qualified consultant trichologists.
“The journey started by attending a TrichoCare Spotlight event exactly like tonight’s back in 2015,” explains Margaret, “I was inspired and knew it was something I wanted to be part of, but I never imagined it would take me so far cz-lekarna.com/.”
The Spotlight on Trichology events are a fun, informal and interactive first step to exploring whether trichology is the right career choice for attendees.
“We’ve found that it’s a natural professional development opportunity for hairdressers”, says Nick Plunkett, Managing Director of Trichocare.
Margaret adds: “The atmosphere of events is relaxed and approachable. The guests in Glasgow were engaged, knowledgeable, and very inquisitive – a great sign!”
Spotlight evenings are all about building an awareness of what trichology is all about and how hair professionals, as natural communicators with haircare knowledge, can build on their skills.
Wil Fleeson adds: “Trichologists are hair and scalp specialists, who diagnose the causes of hair loss, hair breakage, hair thinning, miniaturisation of hairs, and diseases of the scalp, and deliver a treatment according to the cause.”
The Glasgow evening was inspirational for attendees, with many of them signing up for the Introduction to Trichology course the same week.
