I began my professional journey into hair and scalp upon completion of my LLM International Business Law from the University of Aberdeen. Frustrated by the lack of protection for consumers in the world of hair and hair loss, I began my lifelong calling of Trichology. I use a methodical and educated approach in identifying and addressing factors for each clients hair or scalp concern, utilising holistc approaches and referring to clinically proven and scientifically effective treatments where appropriate based on the clients individual needs and background. Using thorough and effective Consultations I have earned a good reputation with local GP's who often refer their patients, family and colleagues to myself to beat the waiting list for Dermatology. My ambition is to elevate the level of protection of hair-focused consumers in a world of both poor education and opportunists. My goal would be to influence regulatory and legislative changes to make fundamental Health & Safety changes to every hair salon by making it mandatory to have a certified and competent Trichologist with ongoing CPD a part of their framework - that each salon must have a nominated Trichologist they work with as a mandatory condition of their licence and insurance. Educating hair professionals in chemical safety, hair and scalp conditions, how to navigate and talk about hair loss with their clients, and how to be the true hair professional they can and will be under an enhanced regulatory framework. To stop unnecessary chemical burns, damage and litigation through robust and trustworthy partnership.
